Hat Sizes for Small Heads

Petite size women's hats for small heads range from 20" to 22" head circumference. There are three sizes within that range, XXS, XS and Small hat size. Find the perfect hat size for small heads with our chart.

Sizes can vary some by brands. Fit and feel can change based on the material of the hat (soft or stiff structure), inner band type (elasticized, cotton, leather), style of the hat, or how you wear your hat (if for example you like to wear your hat tilted back measure your head on that path). A properly fitting hat should be snug but not too tight, and should sit comfortably on your head without slipping or causing discomfort.

How to find the perfect hat size for small heads

Measure your head where you want the hat to sit; generally, above your ears and eyebrows. If you don't have a measuring tape handy, you can use a string, then measure the string on a ruler.

Next find your measurement in inches or centimeters on the chart and the related fitted hat sizes and easy fit hat sizes for small heads. We show the both the centimeter size and easy fit size on our hats. We recommend to select hats based on centimeter sizing as it is more precise.

If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger size hat. Hats with drawstring can be tightened for a better fit. Hats without adjustable features can be fitted with a size reducing tape.
