Soaker Hats for Evaporative Cooling & Sun Protection

When temperatures climb, soaker hats offer a simple way to stay cooler outdoors. These cooling hats are designed to be soaked in water and worn wet, allowing evaporation to create a cooling effect as you work, walk, hike, golf, garden, or enjoy other hot-weather activities.

Simply wet the hat with cold water, shake off the excess, and put it on. As the water evaporates, it helps cool your head and provides welcome relief on hot summer days. When the cooling effect begins to fade, just wet the hat again.

Cooling isn't their only job. Our soaker hats also provide UPF 50+ sun protection, helping shield your head and the areas covered by the hat from harmful UVA and UVB rays. Depending on the style, additional features may include wide brims, chin straps, breathable construction, moisture-wicking sweatbands, ventilation, adjustable sizing, and packable designs.

How to Use a Soaker Hat

  1. Wet the hat thoroughly with cold water.

  2. Soak the crown, sweatband, and brim.

  3. Gently shake off excess water.

  5. Re-wet the hat whenever the cooling effect begins to fade.
