Place a hand towel under the sweatband to prevent the crown from getting wet.
Use a sponge or small brush with soapy water and work around the band.
Use a towel with plain water to rinse.
Blot dry. Leave the hat upside down until completely dry.
When traveling stuff the inside of the crown with small items, socks, t-shirts, then lay it on the bottom of the suitcase and pack around it, or put the hat upside down on top the suitcase.
Store the hat up side down, or on a hat hook. A taller hat form that keeps the hat from laying on its brim is also a good way to store a Tula hat.
